Reach Out Your Hand

The story of the Good Samaritan is as inspiring as it is tragic. The two individuals who pass by the man who is in need are religious folks who should have been willing to help. The only person to reach out their hand was a person who would have been unexpected because he was a Samaritan. Samaritans and Jews were divided in every way, but the hero in this story is someone who breaks barriers to show compassion.

From Series: "Bridge Builders"

There is a chasm that exists between people. It is a deep divide that keeps us from being in relationship with one another. Many people seek ways to increase the expanse rather than seeking ways to close the gap. We divide over all kinds of things. We split over politics, race, religion and values just to name a few. Rather than embrace the schisms, we can be bridge builders. We can be the kind of people who fight for unity and love others because of our connection with and example of Jesus Christ.
