The New Testament is rich with conflict between the Jews and Gentiles. It is because of Christ’s death and resurrection that there is a way for the two groups to come together. Jesus is the reason that there can be peace, and He is the reason divided groups can unite.
There is a chasm that exists between people. It is a deep divide that keeps us from being in
relationship with one another. Many people seek ways to increase the expanse rather than
seeking ways to close the gap. We divide over all kinds of things. We split over politics, race,
religion and values just to name a few. Rather than embrace the schisms, we can be bridge
builders. We can be the kind of people who fight for unity and love others because of our
connection with and example of Jesus Christ.
