The Purpose of Proximity (Week 1)

Jesus tells us, “Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” So prayer is not primarily about getting facts to God. Prayer is the gift by which we draw near to God, learn to live with God, and allow our hearts to be shaped by the Father who already knows us completely.

Scripture References: Matthew 6:5-13, Romans 8:1-39

From Series: "Why Pray If God Already Knows?"

If God already knows everything, why do we still pray? Because prayer was never meant to inform God—it was meant to transform us through relationship with Him. In this series, we’ll discover that prayer is less about getting answers and more about drawing near to a Father who already knows, already cares, and already invites us close. As we learn to pray like Jesus taught, we’ll move from performance and pressure into presence and peace. This is an invitation to experience prayer not as a duty, but as the doorway into a deeper life with God
