Palm Sunday - Why Did the Cheering Stop?
On that original Palm Sunday, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey’s foal, a hero, being proclaimed by the adoring crowds as Messiah. Less than a week later all that would change. The author of this passage, Luke, was a 1st class historian. He gives us great insight into people, their hopes, dreams, anger, and hatred. Today we notice 3 reasons why the cheering of Palm Sunday stops by the time we get to Good Friday.
