Forgiveness

One of the most frightening words in the English language is actually the word forgive. Bridge Builders are people who are well acquainted with forgiveness because they are well aware of the forgiveness that God has offered them in Christ.

Scripture References: Ephesians 1:17, Luke 7:40-50, Matthew 6:14-15, 1 Peter 5:7, Colossians 3:13-14

From Series: "Bridge Builders"

There is a chasm that exists between people. It is a deep divide that keeps us from being in relationship with one another. Many people seek ways to increase the expanse rather than seeking ways to close the gap. We divide over all kinds of things. We split over politics, race, religion and values just to name a few. Rather than embrace the schisms, we can be bridge builders. We can be the kind of people who fight for unity and love others because of our connection with and example of Jesus Christ.

Be Gentle

Gentleness is not a weakness but a strength. It seeks to fulfil the will of God and it shows concern for the needs of others.

Scripture References: John 13:3-5, Matthew 5:5, Galatians 6:1, 2 Timothy 2:25-26, Isaiah 61:1, Isaiah 53:7, Philippians 2:3-4, Matthew 26:53-54, John 13:14-15, Matthew 11:28-30

From Series: "Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit"

This series is intended to help us see the purpose of the Father in transforming us into the likeness of the character of Christ, which is expressed by the fruit of the Spirit. We are to heed God's call by surrendering to Him, cooperating with Him, and remaining in Christ.
